Speaker Bio: Kevin McLean , Ph.D.

evin is always looking for new ways to share the process of scientific research and the stories that scientists collect in the field, the lab, and everywhere in between. He joined iBiology in November 2019 to work on the research talk videos, expand their reach, and experiment with new content. His experience in science communication includes documentary films, radio, writing, and live storytelling. Kevin went to college at Stanford and studied rainforest canopy wildlife for his Ph.D. at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Prior to joining the team he was a postdoctoral fellow at UC Davis and worked at HHMI’s Tangled Bank Studios. He is a National Geographic Explorer, and outside of work he enjoys cooking, eating what he cooked, eating what other people cooked, traveling, volleyball, and tree climbing.
