Speaker Bio: Neil Robbins II, Ph.D.
Former graduate student in Jose Dinneny's lab
Neil Robbins II is from the sunny city of Tempe, Arizona, where he learned the importance of having an adequate water supply at a very early age. After completing his bachelor's degree in Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology at Arizona State University, he went on to do his PhD at Stanford University. At Stanford, he studied mechanisms of water-sensing in plant roots in the lab of José Dinneny. Nowadays, he's working to bring his analytical skills to the field of public policy, while continuing to engage with the scientific community as a communicator, statistical consultant, and cartoonist.
